Pasternack Releases New Line of Low Loss Test Cables

September 25, 2013 By Jennifer Calhoon Leave a Comment

Pasternack Enterprises, Inc. introduces a new line of low loss test cables rated to 18 GHz. Low loss, expanded dielectric coax, coupled with durable stainless steel Type N, TNC, and SMA connectors, are ideal for test environments where a rugged, phase stable cable assembly is required.

18 GHz Low Loss Test Cables from Pasternack

Pasternack Enterprises’ new low loss test cables utilize a specially designed 0.3 inch diameter coax which results in 83% Velocity of Propagation (VoP) low loss performance up to 18 GHz. These LL test cables from Pasternack are made with PE-P300LL coax, which operates at higher power with improved phase stability when compared to standard flexible cables with solid dielectric cores. The double shielded flexible coax cable provides excellent shielding effectiveness greater than 95 dB and a maximum VSWR of less than 1.35:1. A heavy duty boot and FEP jacket improve strain relief and allow for a minimum bend radius of 1.5 inches which adds to the durability of these cable assemblies.

Pasternack’s new line of precision RF test cables are used for many applications including prototyping in test labs, production line testing, and antenna range testing. The new LL test cables from Pasternack can be ordered in custom lengths and are also available in standard lengths from 12 to 60 inches. Metric lengths can be ordered in 50, 100, 150 and 200 centimeter (cm) lengths.

Our PE-P300LL series test cable is an important addition to Pasternack’s growing line of high performance RF test cables, explains Steve Ellis, Interconnect Product Manager at Pasternack. Many of our customers are requiring low loss, higher power options when choosing a test cable for their specific applications.

The new low loss 18 GHz test cables from Pasternack are in-stock and available to ship now. You can browse the available options and detailed specs on Pasternack’s website. For additional inquiries, Pasternack can be contacted at +1-949-261-1920.

Since 1972, Pasternack has been an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer and supplier that offers the largest selection of RF, microwave and millimeter wave products available for same-day shipping.
