Low-loss RF cable from PIC Wire & Cable is ideal for aerospace

January 26, 2018 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

PIC Wire & Cable, a division of The Angelus Corp., Sussex, Wis., launched its new RFMates UltraLite UH25107 cable. The UH25107 is the company’s lowest loss RF cable and provides major weight and loss savings over traditional RG cables.

PIC-Wire-and-Cable-Ultralite-RF-cableUH25107 is a 50 ohm RF aerospace cable that is highly shielded, light and flexible. The cable’s sophisticated design yields low loss characteristics that make it a robust solution for systems requiring a low dB loss budget for antenna runs, like SATCOM and Iridium systems. In addition, it provides significant cable weight savings over competitor cables and can save 60% or more in weight over similar RG cables.

The UH25107 is the newest cable released to the growing RFMates UltraLite product family. Paul Dieck, PIC Wire & Cable Product Management, said, “The ULTRALITE product line is the most exciting innovation within the RF cable market in years. The rapid adoption of these new ULTRALITE cables demonstrate their ultra-low loss and weight saving characteristics are highly valued.” In conjunction with the UH25107 release, several new RFMates UltraLite connectors have been released to better serve customers’ needs.
