Ideal Networks launches new care plan for use of cable certifiers

July 3, 2017 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

IDEAL_Networks_Sapphire_Care_PlanFor data cable installers and technicians buying or using a cable certifier, it is important to choose a care plan which provides a low cost of ownership while helping to reduce downtime. To give installers complete protection from unforeseen costs, Ideal Networks has launched the new Sapphire Care Plan which helps minimize costs and maximize productivity when using LanTEK II / III cable certifiers.

To guarantee a low cost of ownership, selected replaceable wear parts are free with the Sapphire Care Plan. Installers can choose one replacement parts package every year, with options including permanent link adapter tips, CAT6A reference patch cords, CAT6/5e channel adapters, CAT6A channel adapter or batteries for the LanTEK II / III.

To maintain accuracy and compliance with international technical standards, such as ISO IEC 61935-1 and TIA 1152, annual calibration is also included at no extra cost, alongside any software and firmware updates. To make sure productivity isn’t disrupted during calibration, a loan unit is delivered on the same day that the LanTEK II / III is collected.

The new plan offers a comprehensive support package, specially designed to help installers and technicians manage costs by protecting against the cost of unforeseen repairs. In the unlikely event that repair is needed, both the LanTEK II / III cable certifier and any accessories are covered for standard repairs within the cost of the plan. To avoid downtime and delays during repair, as part of the Sapphire Care Plan, a loan tester is dispatched within one working day of a fault being reported.

Onsite collection and return delivery is also free of charge in the event that the LanTEK II / III requires repair or calibration, further keeping costs to a minimum.

“The LanTEK III cable certifier already enables efficient troubleshooting, with features such Time Domain Return Loss (TDRL) and Time Domain Crosstalk (TDX), industry-leading battery life and the free IDEAL AnyWARE app for instant test data sharing,” explains Tim Widdershoven, Global Marketing Manager for IDEAL Networks. “However, we’ve introduced the Sapphire Care Plan to make life even easier for installers using a cable certifier.”

As an added benefit, the Sapphire Care Plan also includes free online training. This ensures that installers and their customers can benefit from maximum productivity and efficiency when using the LanTEK II / III certifier. In the event that technical support is needed, this can also be easily arranged at no charge with IDEAL Networks’ expert technicians.

The Sapphire Care Plan is available for all LanTEK II and LanTEK III certifiers less than 5 years old. If purchased within 60 days of buying a new certifier, a 10% discount is applied to guarantee that the comprehensive plan is affordable. Prices start from just $895 per year.
