Heilind Electronics stocking Mini-Fit Sr. off-the-shelf discrete wire cable assemblies

June 1, 2020 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

Molex Mini-Fit SrHeilind Electronics has expanded its selection of Molex interconnect solutions with the company’s Mini-Fit Sr. off-the-shelf discrete wire cable assemblies. Featuring up to a 50 A current rating, these assemblies are available in a variety of cable lengths and use a compact connector to support both prototyping and global production.

Molex Mini-Fit Sr. connectors are based on a dual-beam female terminal design consisting of four points of contact to establish superb electrical contact performance and reliability. All the connectors in the Mini-Fit Sr. family feature silver-plated contacts and polarized housing to inhibit mismating of the header/plug and receptacle. To inhibit accidental unmating, the connectors offer a positive locking feature that provides secure retention. Additionally, to reduce the risk of terminal backout, the connectors include a Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) retainer to establish that terminals are fully seated in their housings. The units also feature fully isolated header pins and plug receptacle terminals to protect against potential damage during handling and mating.

Molex Mini-Fit Sr. cable assemblies offer up to 50 A per circuit using 8 AWG wire – resulting in an extremely robust, high-amperage interconnect solution for a variety of industrial, consumer, telecommunications, medical, power supply, and automotive applications.
