I don’t think there’s a person out there that hasn’t torn their phone charging cable. Unlike industrial cables, which are well-protected by tough jackets, conduit, carriers and glands, most consumer cables have a thin jacket that is prone to wear and tear—easily destroyed if pulled too quickly or stepped on.
This abuse is eliminated by a new cable design from a company called Snakable Inc., a Pennsylvania company that had an idea on how to allow these connectors to bend better. The design uses a moving strain relief system to remove the tension applied to cable connectors during normal use. The ball joint design allows for 90° flexure at any angle. This prevents over-bending on the internal wires and the eventual breakage, like what happened with my old charge cable.
